Something New for Something Old!
Zeagle Regulator Trade In
Zeagle Systems wants your old
Zeagle-Apeks regulators! For a limited time, you can trade-in your old Zeagle-Apeks regulator for a brand new Zeagle regulator system.
Zeagle Systems is committed
to providing our customers with the latest in diving technology. Zeagle regulator
systems have always come with a limited lifetime warranty. However, over the
last several years it has become increasingly difficult to secure the necessary parts from Apeks/Aqualung to allow the level
of warranty service for Zeagle-Apeks regulators
that Zeagle wants to provide. Therefore, this limited trade-in program is designed
to replace/upgrade your older (pre-2000) Zeagle-Apeks
regulator (1st & 2nd stages and Octopus) with a current Zeagle regulator and warranty.
Return your regulator to your dealer with a Return Authorization and select a brand new Zeagle regulator for a special
reduced price this summer (Limited Time Offer). Your authorized Zeagle Dealer will be able to provide you with more details
about how the program works. Dust off that old Zeagle-Apeks regulator
and select your new Zeagle Regulator for this diving season!
Note: After this upgrade offer ends in 2008, any Zeagle-Apeks regulator brought in for
service will have to be accompanied by the original purchase receipt showing the name of the original owner and the dive
store from which it was purchased. A copy of this receipt will be made and sent to Zeagle Systems, Inc. Zeagle-Apeks
regulators without the original purchase receipt will not be eligible for warranty parts or free Service Kits.
Note: This program is to replace Apeks regulators branded and distributed
by Zeagle between 1993 and 1999. Apeks regulators sold by Aqualung (and branded only as Apeks), are not included.

DUI PRESS RELEASE
DICK LONG TO RECEIVE ROGER REVELLE AWARD
August 16 , 2006
The San Diego
Oceans Foundation is pleased to award the 2006 Roger Revelle Award to Dick Long, Founder of Diving Unlimited International,
Inc., in recognition for his contributions to man’s capacity to explore the ocean, with concern for the quality of the
environment.
The San Diego
Oceans Foundation’s most prestigious honor, the Roger Revelle Award, is awarded annually to individuals from science,
academia, industry, military, recreation and philanthropy who take the initiative in resolving ocean issues and to encourage
stewardship of ocean resources. The award is named for the late Dr. Revelle, the former director of Scripps Institution of
Oceanography and a driving force in the University of California, San Diego’s early
development.
Dick’s
fascination with the ocean directed him to develop his underwater skills leading him into scuba diving, and then equipment
design at his dive shop in San
Diego. After exposure to the
Bering Sea on a Navy project and Sea Lab II, Dick developed a successful hot-water suit which
allowed greater capabilities for science, the U.S. Navy, offshore oil and other commercial divers. He was a founder of NAUI
(National Association of Underwater Instructors) in 1960, and has been a long-time consultant to government and industry on
ocean technology and safe diving procedures.
After learning
about the successful Canadian artificial reef project off Vancouver Island, Dick saw a great
opportunity for San Diego, and led the San Diego Oceans Foundation in a multi-year, over
7000 man-hour volunteer effort to sink the Yukon off Mission Beach. The Yukon set the standard for the preparation, location and monitoring for all ships-to-reefs projects in the world.
Dick’s
experience with so many aspects of maritime operations helped give him a deep appreciation of the need to protect the ocean
environment. Recognizing that a community-wide effort is needed to achieve that goal, as President of SDOF he led the effort
to get things done. His enthusiastic leadership, commitment, and concern for others attracted excellent members for the SDOF
Board of Directors to perpetuate these efforts.
Dick has received
many awards for diving safety, education and innovation. SDOF is proud to present its Roger Revelle Award to him for his contributions
in promoting the understanding and use of San Diego’s ocean
waters.
Dick will be
honored at the Oceans Benefit Dinner on Saturday, September 23rd at 7:00 P.M. at Scripps Institution of Oceanography’s Chester W. Nimitz Marine Facility in Point Loma. Tickets are $60 per
person and include dinner aboard the R/V Roger Revelle followed by dancing on the Pier. It is a rare occasion to have the
R/V Revelle in port and Scripps is excited to co-host this one-of-a-kind event with the San Diego Oceans Foundation. There
will be a silent auction as well.

and ticket purchase please contact Noelle Morris at the San Diego
